About Me

I grew up in Ireland, spending many summers at my grandmother’s home in the countryside surrounded by cows, horses, and Labradors. My love of animals began early, but it was after moving to California and adopting a challenging little puppy named Dusty that I discovered my passion for dog training. Helping him navigate the world while strengthening our relationship inspired the work I do today.

Since 2006, I have worked as a positive reinforcement, science-based dog trainer with both private clients and shelter organizations, including Marin Humane and Humane Society of Sonoma County. I hold a national certification (CPDT-KA) through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers and have completed advanced studies through the Karen Pryor Academy Shelter Training & Enrichment program and the Trish King Canine Behavior Academy.

Canine behavior science is always evolving, and I am committed to continuing education and staying current with modern, evidence-based training and behavior research.

My goal is to support dogs and their people in building a life together that feels calmer, more connected, and sustainable in everyday life. Through thoughtful guidance and practical training, I help families better understand how dogs learn, communicate, and experience the world so both dogs and humans can thrive together.

I also co-host the Dog Chats podcast, where I share conversations and insights about dog behavior, training, and the human-canine relationship.

Let’s create a life where both you and your dog thrive—together.
