About Me

I grew up in Ireland, spending many summers at my grandmother’s home in the countryside. Surrounded by cows, horses, and Labradors, my love of animals began early. When I moved to California, my husband and I adopted a challenging little puppy named Dusty. Helping him navigate the world and strengthening our bond sparked my passion for dog training.

Since 2006, I have been a positive reinforcement, science-based dog trainer, working with both private clients and in shelter environments, including Marin Humane and the Humane Society of Sonoma County. I hold a national certification (CPDT-KA) through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers and have completed advanced studies through the Trish King Canine Behavior Academy and Karen Pryor Academy's Shelter Training & Enrichment program. Canine science is always evolving, and I am committed to continuous education—staying up to date with the latest research, training techniques, and behavior studies to provide the most effective, humane, and evidence-based guidance for my clients.

My goal is to support dog guardians in creating a life where both they and their dogs thrive. By building an understanding of how dogs think and learn, we can set them up for success and strengthen the human-canine bond. Through thoughtful guidance, I help families create an environment where dogs can make good choices, leading to a more harmonious and fulfilling life together.

I also co-host the Dog Chats podcast, where I share insights on dog behavior, training, and the human-canine relationship. If you're looking for expert advice and real conversations about life with dogs, tune in and join the community!

Let’s create a life where both you and your dog thrive—together.
